Each weekday morning, CSNChicago.com's Rival Report will bring you the latest news on all your teams' division rivals.

Today's Rival Report explores one of the worst calls you'll ever see, a big blast from Big Albert, and the start of the NFL signings.

White Sox

The Indians had a chance for another walk-off win on Tuesday, but they came up short in a loss to the Angels. Cleveland, which is batting .196 in its last six games, tries to get back on track against Ervin Santana tonight. Meanwhlie, Indians GM Chris Antonetti is ready to deal.

The Twins finally outscored the Rangers, but they will have their hands full tonight against Colby Lewis.

The Royals were forced to go with an outfielder on the mound in their 13-9 loss to Boston. Tonight, KC will face John Lackey for the first time since 2009.

Cubs

Losses don't come much tougher than the one the Pirates suffered against the Braves. The team will try to recover from the 19-inning defeat tonight.

Albert Pujols - perhaps you've heard of him - hit a home run in support of Jake Westbrook as the Cardinals nipped the Astros. Today, St. Louis veteran Chris Carpenter takes the mound in search of his seventh consecutive win.

The Reds traded Jonny Gomes to the Nationals, then went out and lost to the Mets in sloppy fashion. Bronson Arroyo looks to continue his career-long success against the Mets in tonight's contest.
