After bagging the IIFA award for the best actress of 2010, Anushka has fetched a role in Yash Chopra’s next and will share screen space with Shahrukh Khan and Katrina Kaif! Interestingly, it is after a span of seven years that Yash Chopra would be directing a film following Veer Zara.
It is a well recognized fact that Anushka had signed a three-film deal with Yash Raj Films - Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi, Badmaash Company and Band Baaja Baaraat. Interestingly, after the deal got completed, Anushka was signed again for Ladies V/s Ricky Bahl. And now, as we mentioned earlier, she has been signed, yet again, for Yash Chopra’s directorial venture! Now that is something BIG!
But, before Anushka Sharma came to the scene and became the number one girl of the Yash Raj Films, Rani Mukherjee was the hot favourite of the Yash Raj camp. Rani has worked with the Chopras in Dil Bole Hadippa, Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic, Laaga Chunari Mein Daag, Ta Ra Rum Pum, Bunty Aur Babli, Veer-Zaara, Hum Tum, Saathiya and Mujhse Dosti Karoge.
Phew, after reading the above movie list, I can easily state without a qualm that Rani Mukherjee was the blue-eyed girl of the Chopras. But at the present, Rani is working with other filmmakers as well.
So, now that Anushka is filling in the shoes of Rani Mukherjee, can we see her doing a Black like challenging role too? Anyhow, in the interim, what we know is that Anushka’s untitled movie with Shahrukh and Katrina will be her fifth with the Yash Raj camp. Now, that’s what you call as Paancho ungliyan ghee mein!
