Almost two years ago, the Redskins made a big splash in signing away the two-time Pro Bowler from the Titans with a monstrous seven-year, $100 million contract. The deal included a then-record $41 million in guaranteed money. The fact both Haynesworth and McNabb (sixth-rounder) were dealt for such low picks is a sign that Washington made two big whiffs with big-name players. But by moving them, it comes with a chance for Shanahan and Bruce Allen to bring back some football financial sense to the Nation's Capital.
