WWE raw resultsThe July 18 2011 Raw began with Mr. McMahon and John Laurinaitis coming to the ring. McMahon told the fans, as they chanted CM Punk, that he’d never say his name again. He called him an ingrate and said he’d walked out on the fans and everyone who’d ever been in the ring. He called Punk an egotistical turd. He said later
a WWE Champion would be crowned. An eight-man elimination tournament would occur: Alex Riley vs. The Miz, R-Truth vs. Alberto Del Rio vs. Kofi Kingston, and Dolph Ziggler vs. Rey Mysterio. He noted that John Cena wasn’t in it. McMahon said Cena had let him down in not defeating Punk. Alex Riley vs. The Miz Miz dodged Riley’s attempts to attack his leg and pounded his back. Riley stomped and elbowed his leg. He continu
ed to work the leg with a Boston crab. Miz dodged a charge in the corner, causing Riley to hit the ringpost. Miz was in control for a bit but Riley gave him a neckbreaker. Riley knocked him down repeatedly, then nailed him with a spinebuster. Miz recovered briefly but Riley got him in a sharpshooter-like move. Miz grabbed the bottom rope to break the hold. Out of nowhere Miz hit Riley with the Skullcrushing Finale and pinned Riley for the win. R-Truth vs. Jack Swagger Swagger went for a quick pin but Truth kicked out. Truth fought out of a headlock and kicked Swagger’s chest. Swagger dominated the match with holds and Swaggerbombs until Truth dodged a clothesline and nailed him with a kick. Swagger put him in an ankle lock but Truth flipped them over and pinned Swagger to win the match. Kofi Kingston vs. Alberto Del Rio Money in the Bank winner Del Rio bragged about his victory and mocked John Cena. He said WWE needed a new leader, and promised he would be WWE Champion.
Del Rio kicked Kingston’s chest and went for a pin but Kofi kicked out. Kingston hit and dropkicked Del Rio, then hit him in the face repeatedly. Del Rio charged him but slid out of the ring, and Kingston landed on him. Alberto kicked the back of his head and went for a cover but Kofi kicked out. Del Rio got him in a headlock. He continued to dominate until Kingston kicked his chin. Kingston chopped him in the chest and dropkicked him. Del Rio gave him a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker. Kingston reversed a pin attempt and pinned Del Rio for the win.
