Rohan Murthy Wedding The scions of two of big Indian business families, Infosys and TVS got married on Sunday at a function attended by high-profile businessmen and politicins.Rohan Murthy, son of software major Infosys' founder NR Narayana Murthy, married Lakshmi Venu, daughter of industrialist couple Venu and Mallika Srinivasan.Venu Srinivasan heads the country's second largest two-wheeler maker TVS Motor company and his wife Mallika Srinivasan heads the tractor major Tafe Ltd.
The guest list included former deputy prime minister LK Advani, union ministers GK Vasan, Anand Sharma and P Chidambaram, Sashi Ruia of the Essar Group, head of Unique Identification Authority of India Nandhan Nilekani, former Air Deccan promoter GR Gopinath, Godrej Group chairman Adi Godrej, Vikram Kirloskar of Kirloskar Group, among others.As per the Tamil Brahmin practice, Lakshmi attired in a red silk saree, sat on her father's lap when Rohan, attired in 'dhoti' and 'kurta' and a Kannadiga turban, tied the 'malgalsutra' around her neck.
