trailer Someone shot and killed a 50-year-old Richmond man inside a camper parked in his mother's driveway, police said.The victim, Richard Lovato, lived in the vintage trailer with flat tires on the 1800 block of Virginia Avenue. Lovato's 91-year-old mother, who lives in the house, had called police about 8:30 a.m. Friday because she heard gunfire about 45 minutes earlier, Detective Eric Haupt said.Officers searched and knocked on doors in the neighborhood, but found no evidence of a crime or other witnesses.A friend of the victim dropped in to pick up some belongings about 11:30 a.m. and found the body inside the trailer, Haupt said.Many of Lovato's friends habitually hung around his trailer, police said. Detectives pursued leads Friday afternoon.
